the FAQs
-
The world’s nicest photography community: We share images, reflect together, and help each other see new layers in our work. It’s supportive, not competitive.
-
Each month brings a theme—Color, Time, Texture. You shoot, submit a few photos, and one is selected for the Jam. We meet online, look closely, and talk about what we see
-
Everyone submits photos ahead of time. One from each person is shown to the group. The group talks about what they notice, while the photographer just listens in. Afterward, the photographer can respond if they’d like.

It’s like being a fly on the wall while people look at your photo—not knowing it’s yours—and point out what’s strong, moving, or surprising. It feels good, like having a circle of cheerleaders lifting your work.
Come as you are.
WE LIKE YOU.
Creativity is self-care. When you’re in flow, your brain shifts into hyperfocus—dopamine surges, creativity spikes, and time dissolves. Science calls it flow. We call it magic.
Photo Jam clears the noise. It’s like free drugs—but instead of a hangover, you have art. And new friends.
Diversity is our superpower. Photo Jam honors the inclusion of race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, identity, and experience.
We are committed to interacting and sharing space with respect, kindness, compassion, and mindfulness to all.
